Lymphedema Management

Lymphedema is an abnormal collection of high-protein fluid just beneath the skin that commonly occurs in the arms and legs.  This can cause a sensation of fullness, tightness of the skin, decreased range of motion, and swelling that does not resolve during the night and returns during the day. Tedra Acheson is a certified lymphedema specialist who can provide manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging or garments, and appropriate exercise to help manage your condition.

Lymphedema can occur due to infection, cancer, scar tissue from radiation therapy, surgical removal of lymph nodes, or it may be due to inherited conditions causing absent or abnormal vessels or lymph nodes.
