The fitness center will continue being closed on Sundays following Memorial Day weekend. Look for Sundays to return to the schedule in the fall.

Flow and Restorative Yoga Combo with Stacey Williams                                                                                                             Sunday, May 28, 4:00-6:00pm, $15 members/$20 non-members                                                                                       You are invited to a special Memorial Day class that combines the fire and intensity of flow yoga followed by a calming and soothing restorative practice. The class will be two hours long, beginning with a 45 minute flow, a short floor sequence then followed with one hour of restorative yoga. The class will be presented by ERYT/Stacey Williams in a safe and non-competitive environment.

Ashtanga Yoga Summer Series with Stacey Williams                                                                                                                   Wednesdays, May 24—July 26 (10 weeks), 7:30-9:00am, $100+tax for series or drop-ins welcome at $12 members/$15 non-members per class                                                                                                                                    Cruise through summer with a powerful and strong yoga series in the Ashtanga system of yoga.  We will systematically learn the Primary Series which is 72 postures practiced in the same order each week. Some yoga experience is recommended.

Spring Training Series with Laura McCabe                                                                                                                        Mondays, April 10-June 5 (8 sessions/no class on Memorial Day), 8:30-9:45am, $80+tax                                             A strength training program is the best insurance policy to reduce injury and ensure that you get the most out of your warm weather hobbies. Spring strength incorporates a focus on core with general strength to keep you strong and flexible throughout the season. This series is recommended for anyone of moderate fitness level or beyond. This series is held at Winthrop Fitness and uses both indoor and outdoor space.                                                Thursdays, April 13-June 8 (9 sessions), 8:45-10:15am, $100+tax                                                                                                 45 minutes of short ski walking or bike intervals plus 45 minutes of strength training. A mountain or road bike is needed to participate. The location varies each week to take advantage of the many great rides around the valley.                                                  

Running-Specific Form and Strength Series with Alison Naney                                                                                                   Wednesdays, May 17-June 21 (6 sessions), 5:15-6:30pm, $85+tax members/$95+tax non-members                           Want to begin running or fine tune your stride? Come learn proper running form and specific strength and mobility activities to help you improve technique, prevent injury and start off the running season in top form. Each class will start with strength work at the fitness center and transition into running for the second half of class. Runs will focus on skill and include drills and observation of form. All levels welcome.
